PC Benchmark
What is a PC Benchmark?
A PC benchmark test runs a small utility on your PC to emulate gameplay. Different PCs can handle different types of games. Running a PC benchmark ensures that your PC is up to the task, as well as provides a snapshot of any problem components. This allow you to plan upgrades for the components. As it is said, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!"
PRO TIP: Run a PC benchmark test on your brand new PC (or today on your current PC) to obtain your baseline performance. Then periodically run the benchmark test to verify that the baseline performance has not degraded.
